The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This rewarding full-time job includes a robust compensation package, including benefits, and the possibility to grow.Your responsibilities in this role– When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests– Participate in various department-wide initiatives– Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process– Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors– Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP– Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner– Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary– Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations– Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reportingRequirements:– Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required– Efficient in ERP systems– Must have excellent time management skills– Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus– Excellent verbal, written, and social skills– Journal entries experience– General ledger experience– Well-founded grasp of month end closings– Wide ranging experience with costing– Earlier work involving costing– Proficiency in bank reconciliations– Practical knowledge of Oracle– Quality experience with SAP– General familiarity with NetSuite– Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience– Account reconciliation experience– Good understanding of General Ledger System– Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred– 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience– Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions– Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills– Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines– Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement– Prior work done in public accounting is desired– Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
