Job description: Job Description:Our Calgary-based client is seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract role to support their finance team through a heavy month-end and quarterly close process. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accountant with strong working paper experience and comfort in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with quarter-end and month-end close, including preparation of financial statements and divisional P& Ls
- Work with consolidated balance sheets and capital assets
- Support the monthly Work in Progress reporting to ensure job accrual accuracy
- Ensure deadlines are met for Day 8 close, supporting public reporting obligations
- Leverage Excel to manage and analyze data
- Collaborate with team members
Requirements:Ideal Candidate:
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or multi-site environments
- Strong working paper and cost accounting exposure
- Comfortable with Visual ERP, UKG for payroll, and expert-level Excel
- Not afraid to ask questions
- A team player who’s eager to help and fit into a collaborative, high-performing environment
- Available to start immediately
