• Analyze and manage cost/inventory/standard costing to improve financial performance.
• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries as part of the monthly close process.
• Reconcile accounts, ensuring all variances are identified and explained.
• Execute annual budgets and forecasts alongside the Controller, including P& L, balance sheet projections, and customer profitability analysis.
• Manage cash flow needs weekly and monthly while supporting financial operations.
• Support inventory, sales, and gross margin analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate monthly reporting for Canadian Sales Tax and Corporate Tax Instalments to stay compliant.
• Deliver working capital analysis and forecasting for future expenditures.
• Collaborate on ad-hoc financial analysis that supports organizational goals.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Lead with Expertise: 3+ years of manufacturing accounting experience.
• CPA or equivalent experience.
• Excel in Tech: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and expertise in Sage Intacct (or similar platforms).
• Communicate and Connect: Strong verbal and written communication skills to thrive as part of a cohesive, goal-driven team.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

• Strong understanding of general ledger processes and journal entry preparation.

• Expertise in standard cost accounting and month-end close activities.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Experience with gross margin analysis and sales performance reporting.

• Solid knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes.

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Expected salary: $75000 – 90000 per year
