Job description: Job Description:We are offering a pivotal role for a Sr. Accountant in Oakville, Ontario. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of our operations. This role plays a key part in financial decision-making and operations within our company to meet our financial objectives.Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full cycle of payroll operations ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage month-end close activities and ensure compliance with established procedures
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable effectively
- Perform financial statement analytics and provide valuable insights
- Conduct financial analysis, identify key variances, and provide explanations on revenue and expenditure trends
- Maintain full ownership of financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date
- Manage journal entries and ensure they are recorded correctly
- Process invoices accurately and timely
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Conduct account and balance sheet reconciliations accurately
- Assist other VPs with any financial-related inquiries
- Assist with budget preparation and forecast
- Generate accurate and timely reports as required
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and NetSuite for various financial operations and reporting
Requirements:
- Applicant should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required
- Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries is mandatory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
- Experience in Month End Close procedures is required
- Knowledge of NetSuite software is beneficial
Expected salary: $70000 – 90000 per year
