• Execute month-end close activities, including review of the general ledger, continuity schedules and preparing and posting journal entries.
• Responsible for preparation and analysis of monthly joint venture financial statements, including timely distribution and communication to stakeholders.
• Perform monthly financial analysis and review account reconciliations.
• Process joint venture transactions, including invoices and quarterly cash disbursements to JV partners.
• Provide support and financial schedules for Tax and External Reporting teams.
• Prepare and review information requests from external and internal auditors, including performing asset verification processes.
• Prepare and monitor joint venture budgets and forecasts.
• Central point of contact for joint venture partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate communication and collaboration.
• Preparation and review of other month-end close activities as assigned.
• Support and assist with continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business from a recognized institution, ideally with an accounting specialization.
• CPA designation required.
• 5+ years accounting experience required with a strong working knowledge of IFRS and application of the concepts.
• Results oriented, with ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
• Strong attention to details combined with the ability to maintain a big picture perspective.
• Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and decision-making capability.
• Demonstrated time management skills, and ability to prioritize when involved with multiple initiatives and changing priorities.
• ERP System experience would be considered an asset.
