Job description: Job Description:We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant, Technician in the Professional Services industry located in Peterborough, Ontario.Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations regularly for financial transparency.

• Generate and analyze monthly financial reports including but not limited to General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close.

• Providing bookkeeping assistance to clients, internally and externally, in various formats including QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), Sage 50, and CaseWare

• Processing transactions in integrated cloud-based systems

• Applying critical thinking abilities to assess transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment

• Processing payroll for clients and associated remittances

• Preparing and filing sales tax returns

• Performing account reconciliations

• Completing and submitting ROEs

• Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners, customers, and vendors.

Requirements:

• Candidate must have proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a necessity

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required

• Familiarity with General Ledger is a must

• Candidate must be adept at making Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with Month End Close processes is necessary

Expected salary: $68000 – 72000 per year
