This is an opportunity to come on board early and shape our direction and have a broad impact on the insurance industry. \nResponsibilities:
- Develop leading edge predictive models on data from multiple insurance companies
- Perform all functions required to build and evaluated models end to end including:
- Data Preparation
- External data research and acquisition
- Data profiling and harmonization across carriers
- Feature development
- NLP/ML modeling
- Model validation and interpretation
- Business value assessment and product pricing analyses
- Build ML automation to accelerate end to end process of creating models
- Additional work such as new feature development, external data research, providing user feedback on new products and tools under development
Qualifications:
- Masters or Ph.D, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency.
- Experience developing model pipelines using AWS Sagemaker
- Expert Python and SQL skills
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the US or Canadian P&C industry
- Experience with P&C policy administration and claims processing concepts
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud technologies such as S3, EC2, RDS, etc.
- Data engineering experience with SQL, Spark or AWS Glue.
- Experience using TeamCity and Terraform for infrastructure setup and CI/CD.
- Experience using Docker or Kubernetes to deploy containerized applications.
- Experience conducting code reviews and being a coach and mentor to other developers.
- Practiced in ML Ops best practices for model development, deployment and monitoring.
- Experience using statistical learning algorithms such as GLM and catBoost to solve real world business problems.
- Experience working with Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or PolicyCenter data preferred
- Experience and skill in communicating insights to both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the organization
- Strong customer orientation and ability support sales conversations with customers
- Ability to plan and carry out projects with minimal direction, yet a team player
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
\n$132,000 – $210,000 a yearThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000 – $210,000+ bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
