Job description: THE ROLE
Our client is currently looking for one (1) Senior Program Manager resource.
they are currently looking for one (1) Senior Program Manager to lead a high performing team focused on various administrative applications/systems. The Senior Program Manager’s responsibilities will include managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, with many stakeholders and many complex needs. The Senior Program Manager will report to the Director of Citizen and Partnership Programs and will provide the required decision and project management support to ensure projects stay on time and on budget. This is a highly visible, busy, and challenging role.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful Resource(s) will undertake the subsequent tasks and responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage a high performing team focused on various administrative applications and systems.
  • Organize and direct work including prioritizing assignments, providing regular performance feedback and taking necessary corrective action as required.
  • Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams that may consist of both management & non-management individuals in an environment that encourages teamwork and open communication.
  • Evaluate and recommend strategies to help enhance and streamline technologies and approaches

for the applications and systems the team is responsible for

  • Monitor and report on program/project progress to senior and executive leadership teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute communication and change management plans to support all the

appropriate teams and stakeholders.

  • Provide overall program/project delivery oversight, as well as produce required business

documents to support current and future state development.

  • Other tasks & responsibilities as assigned/required.Mandatory Resource Qualifications/Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience with program/project management
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
  • Experience in managing large scale IT software programs/projects is an asset.
  • Experience in organizational change management is an asset.
  • Experience working in a healthcare and/or IT environment is an asset.
  • Proven track record at establishing and maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with IT and non-IT stakeholders.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate

information using plain language.

  • Strong ability to prioritize and pre-plan, recognize resourcing needs, coordinate people and activities, recognize trends, and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical concepts and systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently, or within a team in a fast pace and at times unstructured environment with changing priorities.
  • Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio); Skilled at developing presentations, reports and documentation using all MS Office Suite programs.
  • Strong aptitude to be detail oriented, analyze data and develop advanced reports in Excel.
  • Strong program/project planning and estimating skills with the ability to create and manage WBS (work breakdown structures)
  • Excellent multi-tasking, facilitation, troubleshooting, time management, problem solving and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of IT support environment processes and the use of information systems applications preferred
