- Oversee accounting operations for a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and analyze property financial statements
- Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders regarding budgets, financial performance, and operational decisions
- Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and conduct monthly and year-end closings
- Review and approve Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions related to assigned properties
- Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analyses
- Support external audits and tax preparations by providing accurate and timely financial records
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Property Accountant
- Strong proficiency with property management accounting software
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to lead process improvements and drive operational efficiency
