With 65+ years of expertise, our ecosystem of interconnected products combined with our complete vehicle expertise uniquely positions us to advance mobility in an expanded transportation landscape.About the RoleFor our R&D Team in Sankt Valentin (near Linz), we are looking for a Sr. Research Engineer – ADAS/AD Embedded Software AI (m/f/d).As a key member of the Advanced Autonomy team, you are responsible for software development in ADAS and autonomous driving applications. Your focus is to enable the team to develop the features on different target hardware platforms. You work together with team and attend the full feature development process, which includes validation in simulation and real world. Additionally, you manage and work together with universities and external partner.Your Responsibilities
- Evaluation of technologies and product designs with compliance to scientific principles, engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and related specifications
- Support the development of innovative components and modules from the initial concept phase through the complete development process including design engineering, validation, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of the proposed production capable process and business case
- Contribute to team effort by providing innovative ideas for products and processes and by sharing new information with other team members
- Correlate experimental data to simulation data
- Specify requests and coordinate all sub-contracted work (i.e. S/W development, prototyping, validation, testing) and assures timely completion
- Confer with other project engineers to clarify or resolve problems and develop designs
- Maintain proper filing systems to ensure all information, (electronic or hard copy), are stored according to departments requirements
- Provide engineering support to other departments within the company as directed by the department leader
Who we are looking for
- Strong experience in embedded software development in a technology area related to ADAS or Autonomous Driving, Robotics, or similar combination of education/experience.
- Previous experience in Automotive OEM, Tier-1 or autonomous driving companies
- Proficient in embedded software driver development (board support packages)
- Proficient in SoC debugging
- Proficient in automotive operating systems including Linux/ROS2, docker
- Programming in C/C++
- Experience in programming python, opencv, scientific packages
- Experience in AI frameworks and hardware acceleration
Your preferred qualifications
- Master’s or higher degree in Engineering including but not limited to: Computer Science, Electrical, Aerospace, and Robotics

The minimum annual remuneration package for this position is EUR 60.000,- with corresponding qualification.
