Job description: Job DescriptionOur client, an industry leader in the seafood sector, is currently in search of a Staff Accountant to join their team in Paradise, NL. This is a full-time, permanent role to contribute hands-on accounting skills to a united and thriving team.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Generate sales invoices and account statements
- Maintain AR files and ensure currency of billing
- Account reconciliations
- General ledger reconciliation and balancing
- Accounts analysis and aged reporting
- Accounts payable
- Vendor account management
- Resolving discrepancies
- Ad hoc reporting
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- 2 4 years experience in a similar, versatile accounting support role
- Proficiency with Sage50 and MS Office Suite is a definite asset
- Strong attention to detail with proven organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with colleagues and vendors alike
- Innovative and outgoing with an interest in acquiring new skills and learning from others
- Positive and team oriented
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete asks in an efficient and timely manner
