Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare year-end compilation engagements
• Complete personal, corporate and trust tax returns
• Tax planning to determine the most tax effective owner/manager remuneration for clients
• Supervise, train, mentor and motivate junior staff
• Manage assigned client database and obtain missing accounting records as required
• Manage assigned clients and required workload from start to finish while meeting operational and CRA deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• Valid CPA designation and minimum of 2 years’ public accounting experience
• Previous review & audit experience considered an asset
• Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks, and CaseWare
• Experience with TaxPrep ideal but not mandatory
• Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong English communication skills – bilingualism considered a strong asset
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
