Job description: We are partnering with a public accounting firm that’s looking to add a Staff Accountant to their growing team. This is a full-time/permanent position located in the Ottawa-East area.Advantages:-Competitive salary (70-85K)-Full benefits + 3 weeks vacation-Opportunity for advancement-Great teamResponsibilities:-Accurately process and prepare Notice to Readers and Review Engagements-Efficiently manage corporate, personal, and estate tax returns along with HST/GST tax returns-Regularly communicate with clients to address their questions and concerns-Liaise with CRA on behalf of clients and follow up on any outstanding matters-Conduct research and analyze income tax queries using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks-Utilize skills in ‘Notice to Reader’ and ‘Review Engagements’ for corporate tax return preparation.-Post secondary education in Accounting or in a related field-2+ years of public accounting experience is required-Bilingual in both official languages is a strong asset-Proficient in Microsoft Excel-Experience with QuickBooks software-Familiarity with Notice to Reader financial statements-Knowledge of Review Engagements-Experience in preparing Corporate Tax Returns-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines-High attention to detail and accuracy-Good organizational and multitasking abilities.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
