Job description: Staff AccountantFULL TIME – ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIOInterAtlas is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the CFO and Controller, in this role you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting for our Chemical Division.ABOUT INTERATLASInterAtlas Chemical is an international trading and distribution company of intermediate chemicals used in various manufacturing processes. We source material from vendors across the globe for our North American based customers.   • Invoicing and Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable and vendor relationships
  • Journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, inventory subledger review
  • Month-end responsibilities including Trial Balance through to preparation of P&L
  • Assist in performance analysis for the period
  • Additional financial projects or tasks, as required

QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Staff Accountant role, or similar
  • Experience with QuickBooks is nice to have, but not necessary if you have experience in other or similar ERP systems
  • Solid Excel knowledge and experience, creating spreadsheets using Vlookups, SUMIF, and similar functions
  • A post-secondary education, focused on Business Administration & Accounting

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, correspondence, and instructions
  • Effectively written or oral communication with management and staff, suppliers, and customers
  • Understand and maintain high level standards of confidentiality and use discretion and tact
