- Execution and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team
- Analyze financial information, accounting processes and operational procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries
- Preparation of personal, corporate, non-profit organization information and charitable tax returns
- Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints
- Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships
A successful candidate will have:
- Completion of an Accounting Program – College or University
- Related work experience in public accounting or within a small to medium sized business would be an asset
- High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and technical competencies to execute work at the direction received up front from other experienced staff using Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online and/or any other tax preparation software. Any prior experience with these programs is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management and organizational skills
- Ability to detect and solve problems
- Sound judgement regarding confidential information and sensitive matters
- Professional manner, strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of a client-focused fast paced work environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to consistently meet those deadlines
- The ability to accept feedback and apply feedback to future engagements
