The role focuses on solving complex market analytics problems, performing time series forecasting, data integration, and attribution analysis. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in Power BI, Gitlab, R, SQL, and Excel, and has a passion for exploratory work in a fast-paced environment. MDT.ResponsibilitiesAddress market analytics challenges, including time series forecasting and data integration, and analyze large datasets.Conduct research on commodity markets in North America and internationally, contributing to market insights.Assist with migrating data and code to the Databricks platform and build forward supply and demand balances for strategic decision-making.Work with teams across the Commercial Organization, including Trading and Business Development, to support data-driven decision-making.Use tools like Power BI, RStudio, and Gitlab to build dashboards, perform statistical forecasting, and improve data visualization skills.Skill/CompetenciesMust be able to quickly grasp new concepts, especially in a fast-paced trading environment.Ability to work with complex datasets, perform time series forecasting, and analyze market data.Able to take risks, make decisions, and focus on getting projects across the finish line without requiring perfection.Genuine interest in commodity trading and the energy market.
