You will be a part of a driven, and collaborative team completing important projects while receiving the mentorship, knowledge, and experience to develop the skills you need to build an exciting career.The Space Planning, Design & Construction team is seeking a student who will assist in the application of design theory to various commercial and industrial space change requirements. The successful candidate will enhance understanding of spatial connectivity, space programming, and building codes and bylaws.Note: The application deadline for this position is Thursday, June 20th at 11:59 PM (MST).What You’ll Do
- Process staff location data and drawing updates.
- Collect workspace data for reporting.
- Walk floors to record layouts, identify inconsistencies and perform related data analysis.
- Review and respond to Service Now ticket requests pertaining to workspace.
- Support space planning, design, and construction initiatives in Calgary and at field locations, by participating in project planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
Who You Are
- Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., Work Visa).
- Available to begin full-time work in September 2024.
- Excellent analytical and modelling skills required.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Basic to mid-level experience SharePoint, AutoCAD, and PowerBI is an asset.
- Attention to detail, superior organizational and collaborative skills combined with the ability to multi-task required.
- Basic design principles and building system knowledge is an asset.
Education
- Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program specializing in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, or Project Management at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
