In this role, you will provide assistance in Oxford and OMERS’s Tax department, focusing on US tax matters. We are looking for someone to join us on a 12-month term starting at the end of April 2026.You’ll be able to participate in a broad range of tax-related work requiring analysis, assessment, and quantification. We go above and beyond to protect and grow relationships by anticipating needs, being honest and considerate, and valuing customers as genuine partners.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:Assistance with research and analysis of tax issuesHelp with preparation of tax provisions, making tax payments, and maintenance of summary and control/tracking documentationResearch US federal and state tax notices to determine resolution and handle communication with the relevant tax authorityDraft technical memos to file and other tax-related documents to be reviewed by senior team membersAssist the US tax team in all aspects of corporate federal and state tax initiativesTo succeed in this role, you have:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent computer skills, knowledge of excel would be an assetCurrently enrolled in an Accounting and Financial Management program, in 3rd or 4th year.Dedication to exceptional performance and professionalismAbility to work independently and as a strong team playerDetail-oriented and the ability to consistently produce accurate deliverablesStrong time-management skills and self-motivation, able to multi-task and meet tight deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to researchThrive in organizations that constantly evolve and adaptEmbrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a teamwork environmentDriven to achieving results and continuously striving to deliver the highest performance through creative thinkingWhile previous tax experience is an asset, it is not required.IMPORTANT: Application InstructionsTo ensure your application is submitted to our applicant tracking system accurately, please follow the instructions below.Please include all required documents (Resume, Cover Letter, Unofficial Transcript, etc.) in one combined file.
