Job description: As a Supervisor, Business Support, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals responsible for the financial health and operational excellence of Facility Maintenance Services. You will play a key role in strategic planning, budget management, and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership and financial expertise will ensure that our services remain efficient, effective, and sustainable.What will you do?
- Provide leadership, management and supervision of business support team
- Provide coaching and feedback to team of administrative professionals
- Develop accountability framework for the Business Support area to identity timelines and support levels
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Work closely with leadership teams to drive and develop continuous improvement strategies
- Review business process needs into technical requirements and functional specifications for technology solutions
- Oversee and report on deliverables associated with projects and initiatives
- Integrate analytics, business needs, and financial implications to define and guide project scope and planning
- Manage and mitigate financial risks and provide analysis of monthly variances and forecasts including year end projections
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial planning with operational goals
- Ensure compliance with City policies and accounting principles
Qualifications
- Knowledge, training and/or education in Public Administration, Commerce, or a related field
- Experience in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
- Experience leading, motivating, and developing high performing teams
Assets
- Accreditation in a related professional organization
- Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance or other ERP systems

Conditions of employment and work environment:
- Up to: 1 permanent, full-time position
- Hours of work: 36.9 hours per week, Monday – Friday
- Salary Range: $89,766 – $128,237 (Annually)
- Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) security clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement
- Management and Out-of-Scope positions at the City of Edmonton are being reviewed for possible inclusion in the Civic Service Union 52 bargaining unit. If this position is impacted, the incumbent will be notified accordingly
