Job description: Robertson is seeking a skilled Supervisor – Public Accounting to join our client. This role involves a main focus on Compilations , Our client is based in Markham and is hiring due to growth.Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements for a range of clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage the compilation process for various client accounts.
- Review and verify financial documents and statements for accuracy.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all compilation tasks.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in financial records.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.
- Participate in training and development activities for the team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA designation or in pursuit of designation is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting.
- Strong financial accounting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Proficiency with common accounting software packages, with the ability to troubleshoot and train clients on software issues.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
