Job description: Tax Accountant – Permanent – 18255About the OpportunityOur client, who is located in Toronto, is a well-established and growing organization in the financial services sector. They are looking for a Tax Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee full-cycle accounting and manage a broad range of tax filings for multiple entities, including those with complex investment structures such as real estate, financial instruments, trusts, and limited partnerships.Duties include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and file T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5 tax returns accurately and on time
• Manage full-cycle accounting and ensure accuracy across multiple entities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and accounting standards
• Support the development and implementation of tax and accounting strategies
• Proactively identify potential tax risks and recommend solutions
• Analyze investment performance and present insights to key stakeholders
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely reporting
• Remain up to date with current tax legislation and accounting standards

About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:

• CPA or in final stages (passed CFE)
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or tax
• Working knowledge of Canadian Income Tax Act
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
