More than 5,000 employees in 33 countries help us develop the latest technologies for Reality Capture, Machine Control, GNSS, Photogrammetry, and other Site Positioning technologies.We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Sales Specialist in our Heavy Construction Segment. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be an integral part of the sales cycle with the Heavy Construction team. Working together with the sales team you will help develop and train dealers to become champions in their territory. Your key focus will be helping our dealer sales channel integrate the applications of our products into the workflows of our end users.Job FamilyTechnical Service & SupportDesired SkillsWHAT YOU GET TO DO:
- Act as technical business consultant and help our partners understand how our products can help them deliver results.
- Provide product and application training, both in field and classroom settings, for dealers, sales representatives, and end users for Heavy Construction products.
- Provide training primarily in the US, and occasionally in Canada as required.
- Participate in the sales investigation process.
- Participate in seminars, trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions
- Assist our partners with site positioning equipment both GNSS and land-based solutions
- Assist our partners with machine control in the heavy construction sector
- Participate in beta testing new product and providing feedback to development
- Develop training agenda and materials for training classes.
- Provide technical support for existing dealers and internal sales representatives on trouble shooting, best-practices, documentation, and escalation.
- Provide input with respect to product performance, product testing, market analysis, competitor activities and product/marketing needs and requirements.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Degree from technical institute or commercial college with an emphasis on construction inspection, Civil Engineering or related field; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in all applications of construction surveying, engineering, and/or related software.
- Knowledge of machine control systems used in construction, including systems based on laser, sonic, total station, and GNSS.
- Knowledge of surveying equipment, including GNSS and total stations.
- Knowledge of CAD-based design programs used to create three-dimensional models.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Must operate heavy machinery and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Remote job – preference for Central time zone
- Pay range: 80K-85K base (DOE) plus 10K-20K in commission
- Training provided
- 50% travel required in the US and Canada (passport required)
