ALES is made up of 500+ faculty and staff, 1700+ undergraduates and 600+ graduate students. ALES is focused on teaching, research & community service in its departments and schools: Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science; Renewable Resources; Human Ecology; Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology.We have strong academic undergraduate and graduate programs, a large research infrastructure which includes 25,000 acres of farm & ranch land in key ecologies across Alberta, and high-impact research in collaboration with our partners.Position SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team at the Poultry Research Facility. Under the supervision of the Unit manager, the role of the Technician is to provide support for research and unit operations.The Technician will work to provide daily care to the poultry flocks housed at the Poultry Facility. The ideal candidate will utilize effective communication, flexibility, organizational, and time management skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision to complete their duties. The role includes working with other staff and students, and completing different regulatory duties for poultry production and food safety.Duties
