These part-time positions work overnight shifts including weekends and statutory holidays.Description:
Tow Agent Leads direct and support a team of Agents who are primarily responsible for aircraft movement, delivery and storage. Leads and Agents are accountable for all areas of aircraft ground handling and are required to operate in a safe and efficient manner and as directed and in accordance with regulations and procedures.Responsibilities:
- Delegate and prioritize aircraft movement with the support of Dispatch Coordinators and Supervisors.
- Aircraft movement, delivery, and storage (airfield to hangar) ensuring the safety of the team and aircraft while towing.
- Liaise with the customer’s operations centre to ensure aircraft movement priority is met.
- Liaise with the customer’s technical operations team to ensure they have aircraft moved to/from the hangars.
- Ensure the aircraft is equipped with the necessary equipment once parked.
- Ensure pre-operational inspections for all equipment used during the shift are completed.
- Ensure equipment is cared for and the essential maintenance checks are arranged.
- Perform ramp services according to the standards set by Executive Flight Centre (EFC) including but not limited to.
o Load and unload aircraft.
o Marshall and chock aircraft.
o Provide lavatory and water service to aircraft.
o Provide a variety of servicing on aircraft.
o Ensure correct baggage loading information is given to each aircraft, including any ballast concerns.
o Operate all ground service equipment.
- Provide award-winning ground handling services including building quality relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ensure all complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.
- Troubleshoot issues within the towing and ground handling process.
- Responsible to clean all company vehicles, GSE equipment, Fleet vehicles and Fuel Trucks as required.
- Back-up/support Aircraft Refuelers, Ramp Agents and/or Line Technicians as required.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
- Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
- Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in the aviation industry in a similar role would be an asset.
- A valid class 5 driver’s license and clear abstract is required – No GDL permitted.
- Must hold a fully cleared Restricted Area Pass.
- Must hold a current Driver’s Authorization – Airside Vehicle Operators Permit. (DA AVOP)
- Must be able to obtain a DDT Permit within 60 days of employment.
- Obtain a restricted operator’s certificate (radio license) within 30 days of employment.
- Must be able to pass brake-ride training within 60 days of employment.
- Ability to recognize and action challenges that may arise promptly and efficiently.
- Must be able to work shift work, including weekends, AM/PM.
- First Aid and CPR would be an asset.
- Able to work inclement weather, overtime and extended shifts.
- Able to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally including being able to provide clear and concise information by radio and phone, etc.
- Able to lift or move up to 60 lbs independently.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Highly motivated and able to work with minimal or no supervision.
- Basic mathematics, trouble shooting skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- A strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
- Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
