For more information on diversity and inclusion, please visit: .The Victims of Crime Assistance Program is a multi-faceted program which provides front line service delivery of a variety of victim supports and services to best meet the ever changing and diverse needs of victims of crime. Together with multiple partnering agencies the program strives to ensure victims are supported while navigating a complex criminal justice system. Supports include, but are not limited to emergency assistance, counselling, reimbursement for specified court attendance related expenses, and several other services some currently in place, and others in development or being enhanced based on evolving victim needs.Information regarding Victims Services can be found by visiting our website at: .Role ResponsibilitiesDo you have the agility to multitask and prioritize administrative tasks. Are you able to remain organized and communicate effectively while being aware of timeline goals?Reporting to the Victims of Crime Assistance Program (VAP) Manager, the Financial and Tech Services Support is responsible for regular financial processing & related oversight, program statistics, initiating responses for FOIP requests, technical support and testing of the programs case management system. All duties are performed according to program, ministry and GoA best practices.Main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Information & Records Management:
- Assist with FOIP requests.
- Maintains records including inventory, storage and archiving of program file.
General Technical Support
- Administrative support in relation to the program case management system (AVATAR).
- Assists with case management system user acceptance testing (UAT) and enhancement identification.
Financial Management & Operations Support
- Processing Non-Purchase Order and Purchase Order invoices in the GoA financial processing system 1GX.
- Ensures financial controls are implemented and monitored to ensure quality control and compliance with best practices.
Contract Administration
- Reviews and validates purchase order requests.
- Monitors purchase order requests to ensure timely delivery or follow up if required.

QualificationsRequirements:
High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years progressively related administrative experience.Experience working with the following is required:
- Accounting entries with a focus on quality assurance experience
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in best practices regarding records management (retention rules)
The following are considered assets:
- Knowledge of 1GX financial processes
- GoA financial management best practices and user acceptance testing of databases or applications
