Job description: Our Client, a Mining Services Company is looking for motivated and professional people to join their team.Warehouse TechnicianPosition Summary:We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Technician to join our Client in Nisku, AB.Responsibilities:Safety Compliance: Perform work safely following all safety procedures.Material Handling: Execute daily tasks such as picking, issuing, receiving, and shipping materials in line with Warehouse Care, Custody, & Control Standards.Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, telehandler, front end loader, flat deck truck) for shipping, receiving, issuing, and put-away activities.Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counting activities.Housekeeping: Maintain a safe work environment in the warehouse and outdoor yard. Snow clearing of the Nisku yard in winter months.Housekeeping Tasks: Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and practices.Tool Use: Safely operate basic hand tools and powered hand tools (e.g., drills, power washers, painters, disc grinders).Qualifications / Requirements:Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a warehouse environment, preferably in the mining or oil & gas industry.Education: High School Diploma.Skills:

  • Knowledge of standard warehouse processes (picking, issuing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and put-away activities).
  • Understanding of inventory cycle counting and audit procedures.
  • Familiarity with safe operating procedures for material handling equipment, hand tools, and powered hand tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems for warehouse management.
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite.
  • Ability to read and understand information on waybills, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Experience operating equipment such as forklift, telehandler, front end loader, and flat deck truck.

Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50lbs.Additional Requirements:

  • Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo a substance test and pre-employment testing.
