The Trainer – Warehouse Operations will report to the Account Training Supervisor and provide on the job training and Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) training to new and existing employees. Trainers will also be asked to work in various departments outside of their training role as necessary due to staffing and customer demand.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administer on the job training and powered industrial trucks (PIT) training to new and existing employees in a one on one or group setting
Perform operational work in various warehouse departments outside of a training capacity as necessary due to staffing and customer demand.
Cross train in all warehouse areas and on all PIT equipment
Update and maintain various existing training documents and help create new training documents for various departments and job functions.
Perform standard work audits with new and existing employees to ensure adherence to processADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assignedEDUCATION
H.S. diploma/GEDEXPERIENCE
One (1) year or more experience Training background preferred
One (1) year or more experience in driving various PIT equipmentSKILLS
. Excellent attendance record
. Good social / communication skills, can communicate effectively even when language barrier exists and handles diversity well
. Maintains a positive and professional attitude, avoids negative talk, represents Ryder with loyalty and respect at all times
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
. Capable of working in a flexible, changing environment; able to multitask
