We are led by the belief that providing industry-leading tools, innovative technology, and excellent support allows our teams to focus on delivering outstanding player experiences first and foremost.Wizards is looking for a Web Software Development Engineer who is interested in building SDK packages for web environments hosted in AWS and maintained by internal teams. The person in this role has experience building packages that are useable across multiple website technologies, and that offers a clearly defined API layer. They have knowledge of the different backend technologies that can be used to serve HTML content, and how to author code to work regardless of the rendering scheme. The primary job for this role will helping to build a portable SDK for our platform services and work with teams to deploy and support the SDK in their environments.This is an IC role requiring teamwork with members of our team, and with partner teams in Wizards and Hasbro. They will be supporting web sites and web based applications on mobile and PC. The person in this role will collaborate frequently with multiple teams including: web and application engineers, account and backend services teams, internal owners of content, and game teams.We are a team of people with strong work life balance while working to deliver top quality technology! - Design and build out secure solutions for services and SDK development for web sites and web applications
- Write strongly typed API code with clear contracts for interaction with the backend services, creating consistent flows for all sites to follow in using the services.
- Assist teams with integration of the SDK into their solutions and deploy in a timely manner.
- Work with tools and backend engineers to create test environments to mimic functional sites
What You’ll Bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a full stack engineer that can deploy an SDK that can work both on server side and client side.
- Experience with Javascript, Typescript, Node, React, Vue, and Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to drive solutions across multiple teams
- Experience with deploying solutions in cloud environments using AWS.
- Ability to create secure, scalable, and performant code using data driven decision making
Compensation Range, Currency CAD:
- Starting Pay Range: $73,834
- Pay Range End: $122,698
