As a Workday Financial Functional Lead you will help lead the finance functional project team and work with the Workday implementation team and other project team members in the coordination of the design, configuration and testing required to successfully implement AMA’s new Financial ERP System. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Report to the Project Business Owner.
• Lead the finance functional project team members on the Core Financial modules in Workday.
• Provide oversight and support to the team, guiding them through the Workday implementation process.
• Share your Workday knowledge with the project team to ensure a successful implementation.
• Be an active participant in discovery workshops helping to guide the project team using your previous Workday finance experience.
• Lead, guide or participate in implementation readiness activities to assist AMA in preparing for the system implementation including items such as data clean up and migration activities, process documentation and gathering of more in-depth requirements.
• Play a key role in business process design, end-to-end configuration, performing and supporting testing, training and deployment of functionality for multiple Workday Financial modules (potentially including core finance, financial and workforce planning, procurement and strategic sourcing, reporting and consolidation, and employee expenses).
• Work closely with finance, operational and IT teams.
• Highlight opportunities to improve and streamline business processes with best practices in mind.
• Provide training and support to end-users to ensure a seamless implementation.
• Configure and build Workday reports and dashboards.
• There may be occasional Travel required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience with Workday Finance ERP implementations, preferably with medium sized, multi-company organizations.
• You have 3-5 years of leadership experience.
• You have 3-5 years of experience in requirements gathering, solutioning, configuring, testing, and implementing with Workday Financial modules with a focus on general ledger (core finance), reporting and employee expenses.
• You have experience with data migration from the legacy system to the Workday ERP system.
• Experience with Workday implementations that include numerous system integrations would be considered an asset.
• Previous accounting experience would be considered an asset.
• Completion of Workday accredited courses and/or you hold Workday certifications in Finance, Planning and/or Reporting would be considered an asset.
