Job description: Job Description:Our client in Calgary is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, experience with SAP software, intermediate Excel skills, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Provide support during audits and tax filings.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Ad-hoc duties as requested.

Requirements:Requirements:

• Post-secondary educations in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency with SAP software.
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to start immediately.
