Prior experience in a similar role is essential to thrive in this fast-paced, high-volume environment.The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and confident in decision-making. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a “get-it-done” mindset are key to success with this growing company.If you’re ready to bring your accounting expertise to a collaborative team and make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!Duties and Responsibilities:The key job functions are:

• Invoice customers based on completed work, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process payments (credit cards, deposits, cheques) and reconcile discrepancies.
• Manage Accounts Receivable, track outstanding invoices, and follow up with clients.
• Set up new customers in QuickBooks and maintain accurate records.
• Enter and pay supplier bills in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy.
• Upload financial reports as required.
• Manage Accounts Payable, review and enter approved bills for payment.
• Enter receipts and expenses, ensuring proper classification.
• Match and reconcile all bank and credit card transactions.
• Investigate discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
• Process rent payments and match transactions.
• Ensure accounts and credit cards are up to date.
• Follow up on overdue tenant invoices and send accounts to collections if needed.
• Handle bounced payments and arrange payment plans.
• Process e-transfers for security deposit returns and QuickBooks adjustments.
• Set up new employees and track hours.
• Run payroll and process timely payments.
• Manage payroll remittances and file statutory forms (ROEs, T4s) to ensure compliance.
• Perform monthly statement reconciliations.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records.

Education:

• Post secondary in Accounting (or related) is considered a strong asset

Qualifications:

• Full proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite is required

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting is required
• Previous experience supporting with the accounting functions for numerous companies is a strong asset

Skills:

• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and prioritizing competing tasks
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in fast-paced work environments

Base Salary: $65,000 – $70,000

• Salary based on experience
• Full benefits package included (following probationary period)

Work Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday

Remote Work:

• This position is not remote and required to be on-site.
