Job description: Job Description:Our client is looking for an Accounting Technician to join their Finance team in Burnaby. This is a hybrid position.Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Enter and update invoices, payments, and other financial data in the accounting system

• Prepare basic reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts

• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and files

• Assist with generating simple reports for management as needed

• Support the accounting team with month-end tasks and other administrative duties

Requirements:Qualifications

• Some experience or education in accounting, finance, or business (including co-op or internship)

• Smart, not sensitive, interested in doing heads down accounting

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is an asset

• Willingness to learn and take initiative

• Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude
