Job description: Transdev Canada is hiring an Accounts Receivable for our Calgary location.As an Accounts Receivable, you will play a vital role in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the company’s financial stability. This is a full-time, remote position.Your role:Account Clean-Up & Reconciliation:

• Analyze customer accounts for discrepancies and aged items; identify and resolve issues causing unapplied cash or open credits.
• Investigate and resolve legacy balances, unapplied payments, and past-due invoices.
• Collaborate with internal departments (sales, customer service, billing) to correct and clear outstanding issues.

Cash Application:

• Apply customer payments (cheques, ACH, wires, credit cards) to appropriate invoices in the ERP system.
• Research and resolve unapplied and misapplied cash, short pays, and overpayments.
• Reconcile daily bank deposits to customer payments.

Customer Communication & Support:

• Communicate with customers and our depot staff to resolve payment:
• discrepancies and request remittance details.
• Provide account statements and reconcile accounts as needed.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account status and payment history.

Reporting & Process Improvement:

• Assist in generating aging reports and dashboards to track clean-up progress.
• Recommend and help implement process improvements to streamline cash application and reconciliation activities.
• Support month-end close by ensuring timely and accurate AR entries.

Your profile:

• Completion of, or working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1-2 years in Accounts Receivable or similar accounting role, with hands-on experience in cash application, account cleanup and reconcilliation.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required) and moderate proficiency in Excel (v- and x-lookups, pivot tables).
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• You are able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• You possess a good knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
• You have excellent organizational and time management skills.
• You are able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• You are detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• You have demonstrated ability to handle conflict at all levels.

Your location:

• This is a remote temporary position.
• Average Schedule of 40 hoursper week Monday – Friday
• There is a requirement to attend in person training sessions in Calgary.
