Job description: Job Description:Our Calgary client is seeking an experienced Project Billing Specialist to help streamline and accelerate their billing and accounts receivable (AR) processes. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in revenue accounting, project billing, and managing invoicing in complex, contractor-based environments.Key Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate, complex invoices involving time/material, progress billing, holdbacks, and materials
• Reconcile accounts, resolve AR bottlenecks, and support cash flow improvements
• Work directly with site teams to verify timesheets, approvals, and billing requirements
• Manage backlog of AR and payments, ensuring timely collections
• Extract and compile data from multiple sources to support invoice creation and reporting
• Provide ad hoc reporting and support ongoing audit processes
• Assist in cost tracking and understanding revenue flows

Requirements:What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of AR and project billing experience, ideally in construction, mining, or field services
• Proven ability to manage high-volume invoicing and reduce billing backlogs
• Experience dealing directly with site teams and understanding of contractor-based billing processes
• Comfortable with multi-component and complex invoice structures
• Strong reconciliation and revenue accounting skills
• Available to start immediately

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in mining, construction, or industrial field services
• Prior use of ERP systems and advanced Excel
• Background in environments with audit, compliance, or dealership-style work orders
