Job description: Position: Carpenter-Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant-CalgaryProject Type: WaterProject Location: CalgaryShift: DaySchedule: Monday to FridayAccommodations: Local OnlyTravel Details: Not AvailableGC: GrahamAllied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc.Reference Number: 26999We are currently recruiting for Carpenters to join the team at the Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant!This position is in Calgary, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.Shift is 5 days on 2 days off – could involve some SaturdaysAS A CARPENTER, YOU WILL:
- Build forms for concrete
- Cut, shape, and join
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
- Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Studies blueprints for work planning
- Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- General site upkeep
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015
- ESC Fall Protection – considered an asset
- Hold a Journeyperson Ticket or be a Registered Apprentice
