Job description: Our client, a well-established organization in Mississauga, is seeking a Corporate Tax Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented tax professional with experience in corporate tax compliance, sales and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating tax reporting, consolidating tax data across multiple entities, and supporting audits in a complex organizational structure.Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate corporate tax filings, ensuring compliance across multiple entities using various ERP systems (M3 and others)
• Manage indirect tax compliance, including sales tax reporting (GST/HST/PST) and transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions
• Assist with the preparation of T2 corporate income tax returns and related schedules
• Support tax audits, including gathering and analyzing documentation for seven open audits across multiple divisions
• Coordinate tax reporting requirements for an entity with nine divisions, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with jurisdictional tax laws
• Extract and analyze financial data from multiple accounting systems to support tax calculations and reporting
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance and accounting teams, to ensure tax compliance and proper financial statement presentation
• Identify tax risks and opportunities to improve tax reporting processes and compliance

• Experience in corporate tax compliance, indirect taxes (GST/HST/PST), and intercompany tax transactions
• Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate tax laws, transfer pricing principles, and tax return preparation (T2 filings)
• Experience with tax audits and financial statement tax provisions
• Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with M3 is an asset)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in tax reporting and reconciliations
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tax reporting systems and software
