Job description: Job Description:Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Cost Accountant. This critical Cost Accountant role is responsible for the ongoing analysis of product cost, development of new product cost and margin analysis. This role will also work closely with the sales teams and senior financial management team to establish customer pricing. Then this may be the role for you.How you will make an impact– Monitor the cycle count program and conduct physical inventories– Collect data and plan projects to decide costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste– Log a detailed record of collected data– Conduct variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances– Prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs and analyze manufacturing costs– Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization– Abide by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements– Execute standardized costing methodology for all domestic plants– Assist in audits and general ledger preparation– Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services– Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost– Estimate new and proposed product costs– Create internal cost audits– Recommend costs and cost savings based on analysisRequirements:– Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports– Knowledge of organizational accounting concepts– Prior experience utilizing cost management methodologies, activities, and cost pools based on direct and indirect cost rates– Extremely detailed and analytical– Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement– 7+ years of Cost Accounting work experience– Bachelors degree in accounting or related field

Expected salary: $90000 – 100000 per year
