In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the success of high-profile design-build projects by supporting the design process from concept through completion. You’ll ensure that all designs meet contractual and industry standards while delivering innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive seamless project execution and uphold our commitment to design excellence.As a Design Specialist at Graham you will:Lead design consultations and manage teaming and design service agreementsOversee design production to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverablesValidate designs for compliance, constructability, cost-effectiveness, and competitivenessCoordinate closely with Bid and Project Execution teams to align design with project goalsManage design consultants to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and industry standardsLiaise with Procurement and Construction teams to ensure design compliance and mitigate risksConduct audits of design documents to ensure quality and consistencyManage clash detection processes and oversee resolution of technical queries and RFIsMonitor material quantities and manage variances to maintain cost efficiencyIdentify and quantify design risks; contribute to monthly budget forecastsReview and resolve design quality issues and contract variances, escalating to the Commercial Manager as neededMaintain and manage the design schedule in alignment with the master project scheduleQualifications/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical, business, or scientific field3-5 years of experience in roles such as Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Technical Manager is an assetExcellent technical writing and documentation abilitiesProficiency in MS Office Suite and BIM tools such as Navisworks (3D/4D) and RevitIf this sounds like you, then Graham may be the right fit.
