Job description: Job Description:We are offering an exciting opportunity in Edmonton, Alberta, for a Financial Accountant. This opportunity is with a North American based industry leader in the industrial services / maintenance industry. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports.Reporting directly into the Financial Controller and Director of Finance, key responsibilities consist of:

• Month End / Year End cut-off requirements including journal entries, accruals and adjustments

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual Financial Statements

• Variance analysis

• Balance sheet reconciliation

• Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained

• Fixed Asset control and management

• Margin integrity/daily review

• Calculate bonus and commission payments

• Provide financial analysis as required to senior/branch/operations managers to drive improved decision making

• Support Branch Managers in financial matters

• Process documentation and improvement

• Special Projects as required

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of three years of experience working in the capacity of a Financial Accountant or a similar role

• CPA designation or pursuit is considered an asset but not required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Strong communication skills; able to collaborate with finance and operations teams

Expected salary: $80000 – 85000 per year
