Job description: Financial Reconciliation Analyst II ConsultantOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Reconciliation Analyst II to join their team for fully remote 6-month contract. In this role, successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all investment transactions are accurately recorded in the system. This includes verifying and confirming cash movements reported by banks and other financial institutions.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Review SCD Payment Reconciliation module against external bank SWIFT files
• Investigate SCD payment reconciliation breaks, including unreconciled items and confirmations with third parties and internal teams
• Verify daily payment activity to ensure all investment transactions are accurately captured in book of record
• Reconcile positions and transactions between SCD and partner systems
• Identify and report opportunities to improve fund and position movement processes
• Support effective operation of Financial Reconciliation team controls

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or Mathematics or another related field
• 3+ years of related experience in the investment industry
• Designations such as a CSC or CFA are an asset but not required.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, institutional asset management, regulations, and internal control best practices
• In-depth understanding of settlement practices and a broad range of investment products
• Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension (SCD) is an asset
