Job description: Thunderbolt Contracting has been creating beautiful, functional and memorable landscapes in the Ottawa area since 1992. We are currently seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented landscape foreman to be part of our team this spring.Responsibilities:– Install interlock, retaining walls, concrete, armour stone, etc.– Install and supervise planting of trees, shrubs, perennials, flowers etc.– Sod and soil installation.– Operate equipment including mini ex, skid steers, tampers, diesel plates, sod rollers quick cuts etc.– Read plans and set grades.– Maintain professional company image.– Supervise and motivate your crew.– Complete and submit paperwork related to any jobs, maintain written time records and work orders.– Communicate issues relating to employee relations, equipment issues, customer issues – make suggestions for solutions.Requirements:– A comprehensive knowledge of health & safety regulations for our profession.– At least 3-years of experience as a foreman or lead hand.– Experience operating small equipment an asset.– A valid G license to operate company vehicles.– Strong leadership and communication skills.Why you should apply:– Competitive total compensation package.– Health and dental benefits.– Holiday closures.– Advanced training and opportunities for career advancement.– Deferred profit-sharing plan.– Regular team building activities including BBQ’s and sporting events.– A positive and fun family-oriented environment.If you are looking for a change with a great opportunity for personal growth and success in a team environment, apply today by emailing your resume to .
