The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Business Development Analyst to join the Manufacturing, Technology & Operational Services Transactions Department (MTOST) at This Company. MTOST handles transactions across various business lines, focusing on manufacturing, new technologies, and operational services related to SAO operations.The Business Development Analyst will play a key role in supporting the screening, planning, analysis, and development of new business ventures and divestments. Responsibilities include evaluating transaction proposals, actively managing project execution, and engaging in valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and transaction structuring. The Analyst will drive projects from initial proposal through to final deal signing and closing.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed due diligence on different aspects of target companies (with support from relevant organizations in the company).
  • Perform valuation of target companies based on different methods (with support from other organizations in the company) and evaluate the business plan of the targets.
  • Independently handle business proposals, develop a negotiation strategy, and establish commercial terms for the transaction, reflecting these in the term sheet. Negotiate and develop definitive agreements (with the help of the law department and other relevant organizations in the company).
  • Validate activities to progress proposals through stage gates, prioritize business proposals against investment criteria and NBD portfolio strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of transaction execution, including selecting, onboarding, and working with advisors.
  • Manage overall stakeholder management, including collaboration with internal organizations, consultants, and potential partners.
  • Assemble initial offerings to potential investors, lead investor selection activities, and coordinate with This Company subject matter experts to draft Memorandums of Understanding/Letter of Intent.
  • Provide administrative direction in the development and review of legal documents, including head of terms, MoU, cost-sharing agreements, and shareholder agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with process stage gates and approvals, approve contract payments and variations within limits, provide administrative direction and personnel management to all assigned Business Development Analysts, and perform other miscellaneous duties as directed.
  • Support the law department in anti-trust clearance activities and internal proponent organizations in post-acquisition integration activities.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance from a recognized and approved international program.
  • An MBA and/or equivalent qualification will be a plus, though not a requirement.

Experience:

  • Ideal candidate should have 10-15 years of experience in business development and transactions execution.
  • Experience with IOCs/NOCs, corporates, international consulting firms, accounting firms, investment banks, and private equity firms is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong background in transactions execution with extensive experience in financial valuation, modeling, due diligence, commercial negotiations, and transaction structuring.
  • Adequate understanding of financial analysis of companies, valuation methodologies, commercial principles of transactions, and various types of transactions.
  • Industry expertise or knowledge of specific venturing activities such as commercialization, spin-offs, joint venturing, project development, financial valuations, modeling, facilities planning, strategy development, or relevant experience.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of MS Office tools.
  • Strong time-management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and work under stress.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and emphasis on quality.
  • Strong team player demonstrating initiative, dynamism, and creativity.
  • Fluency in English (and other languages if possible).
  • Solid understanding of commercial business models in various sectors, e.g., oil & gas.
  • Experience with risk reporting and risk dashboard.
  • Understanding of portfolio management principles.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are advantageous.
