Job description: Job DescriptionOur client, in the West-end of Edmonton is looking for a CPA Designated Interim Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has proven success in managing a hybrid Finance Team.This Interim Controller will lead a multi-provincial team, collaborate on strategic projects and serve as a member of Senior Leadership.A candidate who is bilingual in French and English would be a true asset. - Manage the preparation of the internal monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
- Provide management and support for accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Manages monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting of internal financial information, including cash management, while maintaining timelines and meeting targets.
- Oversee annual audit file preparation.
- Oversee the preparation of the revenue and expense budgets for departments.
- Monitor monthly results and compare/highlight significant variances
- Make recommendations to reduce overhead and operating costs.
- Assists in the preparation of forecasts for Executive Management use and decision making, including assessing viability of investments and projects.
Experience & Requirements
- A CPA designation is essential for this position
- Will have a minimum of 5 years working in full-cycle accounting processes
- Will have proven and progressive experience Managing and Leading Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll Teams
- Will have strong verbal and written communication skills along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
