Job description: ShareTop JobLocated in Edmonton, ABAn Edmonton client seeks an Intermediate Site Development Engineer to join their team.Intermediate Site Development Engineer Highlights:· Manage multiple site development projects across Edmonton and Calgary offices, including residential, institutional, and commercial buildings.· Oversee all phases of projects from planning, preliminary design, detailed design, tender, and construction administration to post-construction activities.· Provide guidance to junior technical staff, keeping them focused and productive.· Meet with clients regularly and ensure ongoing communication and project updates.· Balance design work in winter with construction-focused tasks in summer, ensuring year-round productivity.· Manage project budgets ranging from $10,000 to $1 million, with most projects under $100,000.· Prepare site development plans including earthworks, drainage design, underground piping, and access changes.· Use software such as Civil 3D, Ajera, Word, and Excel for project management and design.· Calculate quantities, develop cost estimates, and compile bids according to schedules.· Ensure projects follow the PPMP quality management process by APEGA.· Coordinate with clients, approving authorities, and other discipline leads to meet project requirements, especially in cities with stringent regulations, such as Calgary’s erosion and sediment control requirements.· Collaborate with geotechnical consultants for QA/QC programs, inspections, and certification processes.· Utilize creative grading designs and stormwater management ponds to minimize material import/export costs.· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.· Minimum of 5 years of experience in site development, with experience managing projects from start to finish.· Proficient in Civil 3D, Ajera, Microsoft Word, and Excel.· Strong project management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.· Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, consultants, and approving authorities.· Familiarity with QA/QC programs, geotechnical coordination, and quality management processes.· Knowledge of erosion and sediment control requirements for municipalities like Calgary.· Ability to provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.About Us:Specialized Recruiting Group works with job seekers to help them find the right job based on their skills and experience.
