If that sounds like a challenge you want to help tackle, we want you to join our team!The OpportunityOur Internal Audit team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Calgary, Alberta.Reporting to the Director Internal Audit & SOX Compliance, the Internal Audit Manager will play a crucial role in planning and leading audit engagements that drive strong internal control and risk management practices across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects across our North American operations, contributing to TC Energy’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth.The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, innovative approach to identifying risks and opportunities, helping to shape the future of energy infrastructure through effective governance and continuous improvement.What you’ll doLead complex audit engagements, leveraging data analytics and innovative approaches to identify value-added, practical recommendations for the organizationManage, mentor, and develop a team of internal auditors by providing ongoing guidance and feedback, conducting regular performance evaluations, and supporting career growthManage external subject matter experts as required for the execution of select auditsParticipate in the development of the annual risk-based audit planCollaborate with management to address audit findings and implement corrective actionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organizationAct as a trusted advisor to management on risk management and control issuesContribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related fieldProfessional certification such as CIA, CPA, or equivalentMinimum of 10+ years of internal audit experience, with at least 3 years in a management roleStrong project management skills with demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex audit engagements on time while maintaining quality standards and effectively managing multiple prioritiesStrong understanding and application of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards and current internal audit methodologies and practices.Preferred QualificationsOperational audit experience in the pipeline or oil & gas industry, with 15+ years in internal audit experienceProven track record in implementing and managing internal audit quality improvement programsProficiency with audit software and data analytics toolsAbility to work in SpanishProven track record of translating analytical findings into practical, actionable recommendations that drive positive change within the organizationExcellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly, write concise reports, deliver impactful presentations, and facilitate productive discussions with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationStrong leadership and team-building abilities, demonstrating the capacity to inspire, develop, and guide a diverse team towards high performance while fostering a collaborative cultureExhibits intellectual curiosity and a continuous learning mindset to stay current with evolving practices and industry developments.To remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-HybridAbout our businessTC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
