The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus’s core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities.Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span Cenovus’s varied business areas. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization. This role will be based on business need and relocation may be required. Roles could include placements in:Finance: Where you will work on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support the company’s financial health and strategic decision-making.Corporate Development: Involving strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and market analysis to drive growth and long-term objectives for the company.Planning: Focusing on creating and implementing business plans, supporting the development of strategies, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.Investor Relations: Where you will handle communication with investors and stakeholders, prepare investor presentations, and provide insights into company performance and strategy.Accounting: Involving the preparation and analysis of financial documents, ensuring adherence to regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.Portfolio Management: Coordinating the company’s asset portfolio, evaluating investments, and ensuring efficient performance aligned with strategic goals.Risk: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, and market risks to protect the company’s assets and ensure balanced operations.Note: The application deadline for this position is July 29, 2025.What you’ll doResponsibilities may include:Build and maintain financial models to evaluate capital projects, transportation commitments, and M&A opportunities. Perform consolidated financial modeling for various scenarios and compare key metrics to support strategic decision-making.Maintain the company-wide Portfolio Management Tool to support asset screening, financial evaluation, and strategic trade-offs.
