  • Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training (LPN, LVN, Cert., Dipl., AAS)

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate; Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work; Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year

Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions; Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming; Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice; Participate in community needs assessment and program development; Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff; Provide nursing care
