Job description: Job Description:Our Calgary-based non-profit client is looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk for a contract position. This role requires full-cycle payroll experience and strong Pay Works skills – no internal training available.Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls
- Handle vacation calculations and payroll-related reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and payroll legislation
- Coordinate payroll-related documentation, deductions, and adjustments
- Assist with Accounts Payable processing as needed
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting
- Utilize Financial Edge (training will be provided)
- Ad-hoc duties as requested
Requirements:What You Bring:
- Proven experience in payroll and/or accounting roles
- Hands-on experience with Pay Works
- Solid background in full-cycle payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of vacation pay calculations and Alberta payroll regulations
- Exposure to Accounts Payable and general accounting practices
- Experience in the non-profit sector is a strong asset
- Available to start immediately
