For more information about ALSS, visit our website: .The Continuing Care Capital Program Unit within the Continuing Care Capital Branch is responsible for increasing continuing care capacity in the province through the development and delivery of innovative and responsive capital grant programs. An important part of this work involves developing net new continuing care spaces in the province, which may involve partnering with Indigenous organizations to develop culturally appropriate capacity on and off reserves and settlements. Capital grant programs also aim to modernize aging infrastructure and develop net new capacity in identified priority communities. The Unit oversees the administration of new and existing grant-funded continuing care facility projects and the associated funding agreements.Role ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of one of the members of the Continuing Care Capital Program management team, the Program Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, development, delivery, evaluation and coordination of continuing care capital grant programs (CCCPs), facilitating the development of new continuing care capacity as well as the renovation and/or replacement of existing continuing care capacity in Alberta. This position will be responsible to help review and/or update program criteria, develop and administer the Request for Grant (RFG) process, liaise with prospective applicants regarding program agreements/amendments/assignments, maintain an electronic tracking system, process grant funds, conduct project analysis and manage project accountabilities.This position will also be responsible for supporting health facility management functions on behalf of the Ministry including facility registration, tracking and reporting. This position may leverage facility-based information to support facility capital planning activities and decisions as well as collect/incorporate Alberta Health Services’ (or other approved organization’s) bed audit information to respond to internal/external stakeholders who seek facility or bed capacity information for continuing care facilities throughout the province.The Program Analyst will be accountable for the following key activities:
