Job description: Job Description:Our client in Calgary is looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join their finance team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Yardi and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role will be pivotal in managing project budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Utilize Yardi for tracking project costs, revenues, and profitability.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and project reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor project expenditures and identify variances, providing insights for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers to support financial planning and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation as needed.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure timely invoicing.
• Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ad-hoc duties as requested.

Requirements:Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with Yardi is required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Available to start immediately.
